EXL, a data analytics, artificial intelligence (AI), and digital operations solutions company, has announced that more than 1,100 Philippine nurses have successfully obtained their US Registered Nurse certifications.

EXL’s Healthcare Academy, established in 2014, focuses on learning and development programs for clinical and non-clinical employees. Through this initiative, EXL aims to equip its workforce with the necessary skills to excel in the dynamic healthcare landscape and provide exceptional services to clients.

“In an era where data-driven insights play a crucial role in shaping the future of healthcare, EXL seeks to foster international collaboration by training skilled Filipino professionals to bridge the gap between available skills and the growing needs of medical institutions in the United States and elsewhere in the world,” said Jaideep Pradhan, SVP, and country head for the Philippines, EXL.

One of the flagship programs offered by EXL is the Health Scholars Program, which provides a pathway to US licensure for registered nurses in the Philippines. This comprehensive education initiative includes coursework and guidance to assist nurses in taking and passing the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX), administered by the US National Council of State Boards of Nursing.

Pradhan highlighted EXL’s efforts to leverage technology to address staffing gaps and enhance the resilience of the healthcare system.

“As the healthcare industry navigates the challenges posed by the fast-changing landscape, embracing digital services emerges as a practical and innovative solution,” he said.

EXL anticipates further growth in its Healthcare Academy, with a target of approximately 360 new hires this year. The company is expanding its reach by offering similar academic programs to EXL employees in India, underscoring its commitment to fostering talent development on a global scale.
